Transporting a horse can be a stressful experience at the best of times, but it’s made even more difficult if you don’t have a float of your own. If you find yourself in this situation we offer a well maintained, Australia made horse float for hire! Our two horse straight load float was built by Stallion Floats in Victoria in late 2013. Purchased specifically to be hired out, the float has a tare weight of 850kg and is fitted with hydraulic brakes. The stall length is 6’5” with an overall float length of 9’6” and an interior height of 7’3”. Two pop up events and sliding side windows provide ventilation on warm days. The chest bars are curved and their height is adjustable to ensure a comfortable trip for your horse, as well as a head divider. Personal access doors on both sides make accessing the front of the float even with two horses loaded a breeze. The float has a rear storm door making it fully enclosed.

The float can be hired without pre booking, on a strictly first come first served basis. If you would like to book the float to ensure it is available on the date you need it, we require a $30 booking fee.

Please note the booking fee is non-refundable if you change or cancel your booking. When you pick up the float the $30 booking fee is discounted off the entire hire fee.

Please note with Saturday - Monday hire, pickup can be anytime between 9.00am and 11.30am Saturday, but the float must be returned at 9.00am Monday or incur overdue fees.

Pick up and drop off is strictly between 9.00am & 4.30pm Mon-Fri & 9.00-11.30am Saturday. Out of hours pick up or drop off can be arranged by appointment, however an out of hours fee will be charged.

When you pick up the float there will be paperwork to fill out, so please ensure you have all the required details. Please note we reserve the right to cancel the hire if we do not believe your vehicle is safe or legal for towing the float; please check with us during booking if you have concerns.

Requirements

• Drivers license details for all drivers who will be towing the float
• Vehicle details including proof of registration
• Large round 7 pin trailer connection (an adaptor for a flat plug can be provided)
• Minimum vehicle towing capacity of 2,800kg

There is a minimum $200 bond that MUST be paid before pick up. If less than the total $500 bond is paid, credit card details MUST also be left in store. A full copy of float hire terms and conditions can be emailed before booking.

The float must be returned in the same condition it left. Damage is the responsibility of the hirer, as is cleaning. If the float is returned dirty (visible manure, hay, excessive dirt) then a cleaning fee will be charged.
