Quorn Agricultural Show

The Quorn Agricultural Show is always a big event for the Ranges Country team, as I (along with my sister in law Karen) am the convenor for the Horses in Action. Staff members also get roped into helping, as running a four ring horse show is a mighty task to organise!

This year I was on the microphone in the centre of the ring announcing classes and places, Letisha worked as a steward for one of the hack ring judges, and Debbie did an amazing job stewarding in the showjumping ring. The only staff member who competed this year was Faith, who rode her mum's horse Rocky in three classes for three placings! Faith & Rocky placed 3rd in the 50cm, 2nd in the 60cm and 1st in the 70cm - only improving as the jumps got bigger!

We were blessed with some beautiful weather for the weekend, and it was great to have so many competitiors considering the event was run on a different weekend to normal. Best of all it was fantastic to see so many of our regulars out there competing and doing well.

Every year at the Quorn Show we sponsor the Ranges Country High Point Prize, which is awarded to the competitors with the highest score, earned through places from across all four rings. This year the winner of the Ranges Country High Point was Serena Parker, who had travelled all the way from Inman Valley with her thoroughbred Ash Dale Park Partner In Crime. Congratulations on such a successful show and thank you for travelling such a long way, I hope you enjoy your new Ranges Country jacket!
