Glendambo Gymkhana

The McKenzie family made the long journey to the Glendambo Gymkhana, a special event close to their hearts. Debbie rode Redwing, while Eliza rode Buzz. Ilka their jack russel/foxie cross also made the long trip up to spend the weekend camping with them.

It was just Eliza and Buzz’s second competition and their first gymkhana together. It was also Eliza’s first time competing off the lead at a gymkhana. They had a terrific day, taking home wins in Tilting the Ring, Bending, Thread the Needle and Musical Chairs, as well as third place in Flag and Barrel. Buzz also claimed the title of Leading Pony!

Debbie and Redwing took part in the Open classes, and Redwing also helped three younger riders enjoy the led classes. It was a wonderful chance for the youngsters to get out, join in and have fun, thanks to Debbie's willingness to share her mount and run the miles!
